It is important that if you are using Retin-A, you should not expose yourself to sunlight or artificial UV rays (sunlamps or tanning beds) it makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight and sunburn may result.
 

it is Recommended that you use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 15)  and wear protective clothing if you must be out in the sun, prevent getting Retin-A on  your mouth, lips, eys, and nose , if it gets ion of of these areas make sure to wash it with water.

Do not use Retin-A on sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, irritated, or broken skin. Also avoid using this medication in wounds or on areas of eczema. Wait until these conditions have healed before using Retin-A.

You may use this medication for many days as it was prescribed for you and even if you think it is not working it might take days, weeks, or months for you to see improvements on your skin if you are using Retin-A to fight Acne.

Call your Doctor if skin irritation becomes severe or if your acne does not improve with 8-12 weeks of usage.

FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether Retin A is harmful to an unborn baby. Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Tretinoin topical can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use Retin A without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Make sure to use Retin-A only as your Doctor has prescribed to be used, if you are adding more medication when using Retin-A for the effects to be faster it might only increase the side effects from this medication, just use it as your Doctor has prescribed it to you.

Make sure to wash your hands before and after applying the medications, also make sure to wash and dry the area to be treated.

Do not apply too much of Retin-A on the area to be treated since it might cause you peeling, make sure to use a thin layer of this medication to prevent peeling form your skin.

If you have missed a dose, make sure to apply the medication as soon as you remember, if it is time for the next dose skip it and wait until your next regularly scheduled dose, do not apply extra medicine to make up the next dose.

If you overdose of this medication, please seek for emergency attention immediately.
Reatin-A it is not expected to cause overdose.
